Croatian Music & Dance Workshop

Singing Storytellers is pleased to offer a work shop with Josko Caleta and Jure Milos at the Ukrainian Hall in Sydney on October 8th, 2014 at 8:30 pm (for approximately one hour).

Everyone is welcome! (no specific skills are required)

Caleta will introduce Croatian folksongs. Milos will introduce dances from the hinterlands of Croatia, the Dinaric region.

Josko Caleta is a Croatian ethnomusicologist and choral director. Jure Milos is a traditional music multi-instrumentalist.

Both Caleta and Milos are in town to participate in the Singing Storytellers Symposium and look forward to meeting with people in our local communities! In addition to this workshop at the Ukrainian Hall, Caleta and Milos will give a performance on Sunday, October 12th at St. Mary’s Polish Church – “A new era of Croatian gusle” – join us there!
